Non-Store Retailer:
Some retailers do not operate stores. Retailing done without conventional store-based locations is called as non store retailing. Non store retailing includes services such as vending machines, direct-home selling, telemarketing, catalog sales, mail order and television marketing programmes.
(i) Â Â Â Â Direct Selling: It deals with door-to-door or at home sale parties i.e. it involves one-to-one or one-to-many selling.
Example: AMWAY, Oriflame, SME TOOLKIT (Softwares & hardwares)
(ii) Â Â Â Direct marketing: It involves direct response marketing. The different forms of direct marketing are: Direct mail, catalog marketing, telemarketing, etc.
Example: Dell Computers
(iii) Â Â Online Shopping mall: Use of internet is made to shop for variety of products in this type of retailing. One click will get you the product.
Example: eBay, HoineShop„ Rediff Shopping etc.
(iv)Â Â Â Television shopping: In this mode, shopping takes place by watching a product on television, understanding its features, price, and quantity properly & then one need to order it which will be then delivered at your doorstep. Online mode of payment takes place.
Example: HomeShop18, Asian Sky Shop.
