Interview with RESHAM MANGESH KUBAL, TYBMS Sem 5 Topper 2013-14, GOKHALE COLLEGE who scored 71% and GPA Score – 6.53
How does it feel to be a Topper in the university exams? Whom will you credit your success to? What was your success mantra?
It is an awesome feeling to be a topper and be successful. My whole sole credit goes to my parents, teachers and my friends for supporting me and guiding me in my studies.
Did you prepare any timetable and please share your study strategy/exam tips to crack each subject of sem 5?
No, I had made no timetable to study. I use to study when my mind was fresh and could concentrate on studies. It’s not compulsory to make a timetable, it’s on us how and when to study.
Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?
No, I had not joined any coaching classes, self study is most required, until and unless we our self study, classes can’t do anything.
What was your specialization subject? Why did you opt for it?
My specialization subject was special studies in finance. I opted because firstly it’s a scoring subject and it’s more helpful for future studies.
Can you list the textbooks you referred for all subjects?
I preferred Rishabh Publications for all subjects.
Which was your worst paper? Why? Which was your best paper? Why?
I can’t say worst but financial management was a bit difficult because maybe I contributed less to it. My best paper was logistical management because I was well prepared for it and I would like to credit my professor for his best teachings.
Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?
Committing suicide is not the solution. Rather a student should study on time and be prepared. Failure can happen but is it not the end instead we should learn from it, overcome it and take it positively. RELAX AND REST.
The Black Book project contributing a significant part to the percentage, please share the experiences you had during the preparation of the project and how has it benefited you.
My topic was “GLOBAL MARKETING: MCDONALDS”. I got a great knowledge of products which are globally marketed and about franchising.
Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS? What are your future plans?
No, I didn’t pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS. I am pursuing job.
Any tips and advises for your juniors?
Study well and sincerely. Self study is important. Nothing is hard if you study from beginning.
