Tell us about your college:
Well, I study at S. I. E. S. College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sion WEST.
I am proud to say that I am a part of the college since it won the ‘BEST COLLEGE AWARD’ recently from the Mumbai University.
Discipline along with enjoyment is the funda of my college which I marked in my two years of college life. Well, my favourite faculty I would say is Prof. (Mrs) Archana Sanil, who is the co-ordinator for BMS of my college. The reason for her being my favorite is that, in spite of being the co-ordinator she is very understanding. She has a very distinct quality of thinking as per the situations and then taking any action towards it. Though following strict discipline, she maintains good relations with everyone.
Happiest and the most memorable moment is I would say was my first presentation in my FY, which was related to Foundation of Human Skills, and our professor Mrs. Anita Agrawal gave a standing ovation and all of our group felt proud about it.
Saddest moment of my BMS life, sorry, it is yet to come.
When did you join BMS? Which year you are in? What inspired you to choose BMS and not any other course?
I joined BMS in the year 2010, immediately after completing my HSC. Currently, I am in the Second Year (SY). My cousin sister, whose batch was the first batch to graduate as BMS, inspired me about the course.
According to you, what is BMS all about?
According to me, BMS is all about knowing SOMETHING OF EVERYTHING.
For example, the inclusion of a variety of subjects like Mathematics, Accounting, Economics etc. makes a student capable enough to know a part of everything in the world. It is all about PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE…!!
As a BMS student, what changes would you like to bring in management education?
Well, until I become capable enough to suggest any changes, I won’t suggest any.
Yes, but I would like to see Indian Management Education somewhere equivalent to that like UK and USA, in the forthcoming years.
Who in your life has influenced the most?
I would say, my grand-father, who is not among all of us now, inspired me the most. His personality, way of speaking, command of speaking, social engineering skills are some features which are prominently seen in me.
What would you advice someone planning to do BMS?
I would recommend BMS to any student who has got the talent and ability of gaining knowledge to the maxima and applying it or allocating it to extract the best possible result out of it.
3 Questions you would like to ask an MBA?
- Scope of work in each branch of MBA (HR, Finance, Marketing, Operations etc)
- Scope for development of overall personality
- Development of the sector in the next twenty years.
What are your future plans?
Well, after my BMS, I would surely go for Masters program.
My liking undoubtedly goes towards education field. So, after gaining some knowledge in the corporate sector, I would take up a career as a lecturer in the same field.
Your feedback for BMS.co.in?
Excellent portal for BMS students. Something that a student would always want.
Age so young, yet such great ambitions. I appreciate you and your sincerity towards whatever you do. Hope to see you progressing and growing in the same way as you are doing right now. Would like to see you on the top.
