Gone are the days of ‘saccha pyar’ and ‘mohabbat’ like bollywood portrays, today we have fast moved to a stage where a single city sleeker, goes to a party or meets someone through a friend, gets talking and ends up dating. The consequences can lead to a ‘long lasting relationship’ or just ‘a few dates and we are done’, but people don’t mind this at all.Soon we shall reach the stage, if not already of picking up dates at pub’s and lounges and after a string of such meaningless relationships learn to value the ‘single status’.
If you are single, except for the obvious advantages of no nagging, freedom from insecurity issues, jealousy issues, no fights because you like to spend time with your friends, no overprotective partner limits and all the other blah’s and blah’s that come as a baggage with a relationship; there are various other advantages as well.
You can party hard, flirt to your heart’s content, have your own life and a separate identity that is in no ways connected your partner. Focus on your career and give your family and friends some quality time. Travel alone and do that a lot because it makes you realize what you want in life, experiment with your looks, change careers, learn something like painting or photography just because you want to and live life on your terms; because this single phase doesn’t last long.
Getting into the dating cycle isn’t difficult, it’s a simple routine that doesn’t take much time to begin but once it does, it consumes a lot of your time and if you are not sure about it, wasting that sort of time doesn’t really make sense. Try being patient and waiting for the right partner, until then stop cribbing and enjoy your ‘Single Status.’
