Samsung Electronics is in no mood to stop making people crazy by launching big screen devices one after another. The ‘phablet emperor’ Samsung is working on Mega 2, the specs of the device are allegedly out on GFX Bench website. It will be a sequel to the Mega 5.8, to have a 5.9 inch screen.
The smartphone will be the first ever Samsung device to have a 64-bit processor with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset, the same is seen in the recently launched Lenovo A805e clocked at 1.2GHz with an Adreno 306 GPU. Mega 2 has the speculations of the Android OS L. Other details mentioned are Android 4.4.3 KitKat, 2GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt storage, 12MP rear camera and 4.7MP front camera capable of shooting full-HD resolution videos without HDR.
Purported Galaxy Mega 2 features listed are – accelerometer, barometer, Bluetooth, gyroscope, compass, GPS, light sensor, NFC, proximity sensor and Wi-Fi. The price and the availability dates are not yet revealed. The South Korean smartphone maker has been successful in manufacturing big screen devices, both tablets and phablets. The Galaxy S series and the Note series from the tech giant has been a huge hit in the market worldwide.
