Scatter diagram method-
This is the simplest device for ascertaining whether two variables are related is to prepare a dot chart called scatter diagram. The given data are plotted on a graph paper in the form of dots.
Merits and demerits of the method;-
Merits– It is the simplest form of studying correlation.
It is not influenced by the size of extreme it3ems where as most of mathematical methods are influenced by extreme figures.
Demerits – We can get idea of correlation but we can not find out exact degree of correlation.
