Tell us about yourself
I am 18 years of age. I completed my ICSE from St. Marys Pune, then i
came to Ratnagiri which is my hometown. My zodiac sign is scorpion, i
am very friendly, and enthusiastic, also hyper at times lol. I don’t
have any particular motto in my life or such i take life how it comes
to me, making changes where ever possible.
Tell us about your college
My College is situated in Ratnagiri. It was established in the year
1945 and BMS department was started in 2001. The college is the best
in Konkan region. Also it is an “A” by NAAC, “BEST COLLEGE” of
University of Mumbai 2008 – 2009 & last year UGC awarded the college
with “CPE” College with Potential for Excellence. The Principal of the
college is Dr. Deo.
When did you join BMS? Which year you are in?
I joint BMS last year That is 2009 and i am currently in SYBMS.
What inspired you to choose BMS and not any other course?
My main aim is to do MBA in marketing, so BMS is the perfect course
that will train me and shape me for MBA. The Semester wise
distribution of subjects, Presentations, Industrial Visits and other
features of this course inspired me.
According to you, what is BMS all about?
BMS to me is a shaping course that brings you one step closer to the
business and management world. The course helps us in shaping our lives in the right direction
What’s special about your college? What do you love about it?
My college is very supportive, highly qualified staff and provides
maximum facilities required for academic and co-curricular activities.
Even in sports it is great.
Who is your favorite teacher/faculty? Why?
There is no favorite teacher as such.
What has BMS life taught you?
The first and main thing i should say is that BMS has taught me to be
organized and given me the exposure required for the field i aim in.
Also it has taught me leadership and team skills both at the same
time.
What was the happiest moment in BMS? The saddest? The most memorable?
Happiest moment when i became “college king” last year. Fortunately no sad one, Most memorable up till now the last Management Meet organised by our college last year.
Who in your life has influenced the most?
I really don’t need to search outside for my inspiration, it has always
been my father who started his business from scratch, he did law and civil engineering and is a reputed builder in the Konkan region.
As a BMS student, what changes would you like to bring in management education?
Practicality should be stressed more in this course, along with
teaching it should be shown how it is used.
What would you advice someone planning to do BMS?
hmmmmmm………all of u planning to do BMS, BMS is the place for all
those aspiring people who want to do careers related to marketing,
finance and hr most popular but also for advertising, tourism, agro
industries, budding entrepreneurs…………….
3 Questions you would like to ask an MBA?
hmmmmmm……………..3 are too less lol.
What are your future plans?
My future plans are – After ty to take gap and give CAT and CET and
apply for JB, Symbiosis main choices and other colleges to keep my
choices open. During my gap do a course on stock market. Actually
nothing much in detail, never choose to the last, keep options open.
What are you expecting out of BMS?
hmmmmmm out of BMS…….to provide me with the appropriate skills and knowledge it claims to provide.
How do you find BMS.co.in ? What help should it provide in future?
BMS. co.in is a wonderful portal for bms students, and it is really
helpful for all years. It brings students of different colleges
nearer.
