Well I am a cricket enthusiast, love cooking and cycling. I would prefer to go to places like beaches, national parks, etc. rather than malls, lounge, etc.
Tell us about your college
Well Hinduja College tops in the list of Commerce colleges in Mumbai. Decent infrastructure and amicable professors and staff are the best features of my college and my college is the only college in Mumbai (according to my knowledge) which is just 30 seconds away from the railway station 😉
When did you join BMS? Which year you are in?
I joined BMS in the year 2008-09 and currently I am in my last year i.e T.Y.B.M.S
What inspired you to choose BMS and not any other course?
The reason for choosing BMS was the numerous subjects it offers one to learn. In three years we are having six semesters in which at least we have learnt somewhere around 36 subjects. Moreover, I think BMS aptly defines the phrase “VARIETY IS THE SPICE OF LIFE”.
According to you, what is BMS all about?
As of my opinion, BMS is a dynamic professional course which helps an individual to grow, nurture the personality of the student and helps him to prepare for the “practical business world”.
Who is your favorite teacher/faculty? Why?
I can’t be bias with any faculty and label him/her my favorite because everyone have played a role of exuberant relevance.
What has BMS life taught you?
BMS definitely has taught one thing and that is the importance of “Time” in one’s life and how to manage it. The various theories like JIT , KAIZAN not only makes a business successful but also when applied in life can bring about positive changes and make an individual more optimistic.
What was the happiest moment in BMS? The saddest? The most memorable?
I have to say the happiest and the most memorable moment was in my Second year BMS when we celebrated TEACHERS’ DAY. Because it made the entire class come together and we showed our appreciation towards teachers. The saddest moment hasn’t come across, but if any in the future I will keep you posted 😉
Who in your life has influenced the most?
My life has been influenced by Sachin Tendulkar because according to me He is the epitome of humbleness and humility, moreover his 3D i.e. DEDICATION,DEVOTION & DETERMINATION and his patience and endurance really inspires me to the fullest.
As a BMS student, what changes would you like to bring in management education?
Changes should definitely be made in the mannerism in which the curriculum is prepared. More importance should be given to practical education. Standards should be raised with respect to the subjects taught in order to make BMS more competent and competitive .
3 Questions you would like to ask an MBA?
The first question which comes to mind is “according to you what can make an individual prefect ?” Second question would be “how would you ensure that the situation (any random situation) would be under your control always?” And the last question would be, “According to you, on a personal front, what is the full form of MBA apart from the actual full form of MBA?”
What are your future plans?
Apparently to give all my efforts for SEM 6 exams lets see how that goes first.
What are you expecting out of BMS?
Lots of knowledge about how to conduct business.
How is BMS.co.in? What help should it provide in future?
I think , it’s a good initiative, giving a chance to the BMS students to voice their opinion and give suggestions as to how can the system improve.
