Sport is a form of recreational physical activity in which there is competition and entertainment. From ages people have played, watched and followed sports. There are many types of sports played in every country around the world like Football, Cricket, Basketball, Golf, Hockey, Tennis, Swimming, Surfing, and Racing etc.  Some sports are popular in countries where the climate is suited for that sporting event like in Canada, Ice-Hockey is a popular sport as it is a cold country while in Countries like Australia where there are a lot of beaches, Surfing, and Beach Volleyball is popular. Some sports require one person or two or an entire group of people, some require special tools like bat, ball, stick etc. Every sport has different rules and regulations which are to be followed; usually associations are made which regulate the particular sport like ICC (International Cricket Council) in Cricket.
Different sports are associated with different class of people like Golf is associated to affluent and rich class of people. Some sports are popular among poor people as well, like football as this sport doesn’t require much capital to play as only a ball is required.
There are some sporting events organized which are popular and watched all over the world like the Olympics, FIFA World Cup etc. Sport is just not for entertainment it is much more to people who follow it. There are tears shred, happiness enjoyed in games. There are a lot of emotions in games. In a country like India, Cricket is not just watched but worshiped. Football lies in the heart of Brazilians. Sports have a huge impact in the lives of people, fans or sportsmen. It can make an ordinary person a superstar in a night.
Successful sportsmen earn a lot of money and gain massive popularity. According to Forbes Tiger Woods (Golfer) is regarded as the highest earning sportsmen in the world. Indian cricket team captain M S Dhoni lies sixteenth in this list.
