Ans – I am a very determined about the things I want to do and I even have the patience to achieve it. I am an extrovert person. I come from a middle class family. I joined BMS because I love the idea of managing people. I plan to do my MBA in HR after this.
-
How does it feel to be a Topper of the college in Semester exams?
Ans – It feels really awesome. When everyone comes and wishes you, you feel like a star. Especially when people around you didn’t expect you to be a topper it feels even more great.
-
Whom will you credit your success to?
Ans – Without a doubt my mother. She was always there to support me. Also my friends who helped me when I needed them. Not forgetting my teachers who taught me so well.
-
Did you start preparing from the first day of your FYBMS?
     Ans – No.
-
How did you study for Sem I? (Share some tips / advice for each subject)
Ans- Frankly speaking I never study the whole year. I start studying a week or some days before the paper. But as everything has terms and conditions so do I keep them. When I start studying I put my whole and soul into it. I focus on it and understand the actual concept behind it. I always keep handy the notes given by my teachers and mind you that really helps alot. FOCUS and everything will be yours.
-
Which are the easy subjects in Sem I?
Ans – According to me, if the person is a commerce student, the easy subjects in sem 1 will be POM, Accounts, IT and Maths.
-
Any special way of writing the answers? Do you write answers in bullet points or in paragraphs?
Ans – I write my answers in points. There isn’t any special way as such. One should write down what one has really understood from that particular concept. Simply by hearting stuffs won’t help.
-
How do you crack case studies in theory and practical subjects?
Ans -Frankly speaking back then I would blank, but with the help of my teachers I understood how one should answer such questions. Simply one should write the exact solution to the question asked.
-
Did you draw any diagram in any paper? Is it mandatory? Does it help to get more marks?
Ans- Yes, I drew diagrams for my IT paper as the question demanded it. Diagrams aren’t mandatory neither does it help you score more. One should be very specific and answer appropriately. Draw diagrams only when it is asked. Diagrams do help in improving one’s presentation, but one should go for it if he/she has sufficient time.
-
Any specific study pattern adopted i.e. timetable / how many hours per subject per day etc.?
Ans- I never had a specific timetable. I would study only if I felt like. I never forced myself. A week before exam I started preparing and per day I would study one theory and one practical subject. I would give 2 hours for each subject.
-
How do you fight against mood swings and distractions during exam preparation?
Ans- As I mentioned earlier I am a very determined person. When I decide something I make sure I put my full concentration into it. So I allow nothing to come my way. No distractions and no mood swings.
-
If you are made the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai University, what changes would you like to initiate in BMS education system?
Ans- I would change the way the grades are calculated. As when one gets 6 O’s and one A just because of that one A the person’s grade falls to A. This really makes one upset.
-
Many students prepare sincerely but constantly live under fear that they are not from big college / not from English medium and eventually lose confidence. What message would you like to these students?
Ans- I would just say stop fearing. If you fear here people will take advantage of this. Each one has a right to make it big and so one shouldn’t fear. Just face the obstacles and you will be successful.
-
Through this struggle and success, what have you learned? What is the wisdom of life and competition? What is your message to the upcoming BMS students?
Ans- Competition out there is really tough. At this point you come to know who your friends are and who your foes are. I learnt one has to be strong and determined with what one wants from life. There are many to misguide you and many to discourage you, but you need to be confident about yourself. You should always ask for advice from your parents, they will always show you the right path.
