Interview with Harsha Arora, TYBMS Sem 5 Topper 2013-14, Icles’ Motilal Junjunwala College who scored 74% and GPA Score –6.57
How does it feel to be a Topper in the university exams? Whom will you credit your success to? What was your success mantra?
٭ It really feels great like being a topper from last 2 years and this is the third year of my success in university exams. My credit for my success goes to my teachers my H.O.D my sir and my mom, they all really helped me a lot and ton of thanks to them. My success mantra is “ study smart and don’t work hard”
Did you prepare any timetable and please share your study strategy/exam tips to crack each subject of sem 5?
٭No I dint prepare any time table I study those subjects first that I like n then do with the rest of the subjects and I did my best I put the maximum efforts that I can.
Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?
٭ Self study is good for theory subjects but I joined classes for fm and ssf and it really helped me a lot.
What was your specialization subject? Why did you opt for it?
٭ My specialization was finance and I opted this because I wanna pursue my career doing MBA in Finance and honestly I got excellent marks in finance if I compare to theory subjects.
Can you list the textbooks you referred for all subjects?
٭ For ssf I referred my classes notes and for rest I referred vipul publications and rishab publications both are equally good.
Which was your worst paper? Why? Which was your best paper? Why?
٭My worst paper was logistics because I skipped the sums n while writing exam I was so nervous that I was not able to concentrate on my paper it was the worst situation I guess n the best was FM and SSF I scored good marks it was expected no doubts I m good in practical subjects than theory.
Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?
٭ Not a sheet of answer paper can decide one’s future failure is not an end to the journey of life there is much more things to do so committing suicide is just hurting your family and friends. So the only thing I can say is just do everything from a good heart study well and enjoy your life because it’s very precious.
The Black Book project contributing a significant part to the percentage, please share the experiences you had during the preparation of the project and how has it benefited you.
٭ The black book project contribution made a good impact on my result I got 93 marks I enjoyed making my project had an interview I did survey n through that I really got to know many things . I may like to thank my guide Prof. Dr .Kamala Rajiv she helped me a lot in this project.
Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS? What are your future plans?
٭ I didn’t do any additional course or internship I only concentrated on my exams my future plans as I said above is to do MBA in finance and I want to work with J.P Morgan’s its like my dream job.
Any tips and advises for your juniors?
٭ I can only say that “give your best you will get the best” and also work hard and respect the time don’t waste it . These 3 years of college life is very entertaining, enjoyable and precious , the memories that are always preserved. Enjoy your college life and the best part is to make such friends who motivates you and are happy when you are first and I have such friends.
