- Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?
Not exactly! But my aim was to score above 65%, My success credit goes to my professors viz .Mrs. Chaitali Dutta (Coordinator of TYBMS), Mrs. Abha Maheshwari , Mrs. Sheetal Aditya because of their Excellent teachings, and My mom who always supported me through her Love and Prayers, and my dear and near ones …and Above all the credit goes to My God.. Jesus!
- Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?
Not really from the day one but some of the portions were completed during Internals and I started my actual studies from the last of the month of September.
- How did you allot time to different subjects?
No..Not really… I did not allot any time table for the studies whenever I got time I used to study. I focused more on theory subjects and prepared notes. And for practical subject like Financial Management I didn’t join any classes. For coaching I attended College lectures.
- Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?
According to me if we study seriously then we will find that every subject is easy. We must maintain the written notes for every subject which will help us for last minute revision. As BMS it involves lots of theory subjects so it becomes very difficult for the student to remember each and every concept about the subject. The student must have discussion with teachers and friends to go through the concept in detail with the help of the examples. This will help to remember concept more easily.
As the case studies are always based on the syllabus only nothing comes for outside and so the answers to it should be related to the syllabus only. The syllabus should be applied in the case study. This will be very helpful and you will be able to crack it easily. If the matter is well understood it will be easier to write. The answers should always be written in pointer form and wherever possible examples should be written it will help to increase the strength of the answer. Also the main aspect from the exam point of view is that we must try to complete paper. Nothing must be left blank. If one doesn’t know about the answer for a particular questions at least try to write something about the Lesson or the Subject which has a link to the Questions asked.
- Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?
No, I didn’t join classes for any subjects in the last semester. Well it depends on each student’s competency to the Subject. If they find that they are not competent enough they may join classes, or else they may not.
- Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities?
No, I did not participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities, but I think a BMS student can be managing both studies and extra-curricular activities
- Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?
No I did not pursue any additional courses, but have work experiences in Service Industry.
- Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?
It’s actually sad to hear about students committing Suicide out of failure etc. My comment on this statement is that whatever happens in life it happens for good. One must always have an attitude which defines that “What ever happens…. life has to go on” Â
Failures do not command end or death to one’s life. We must always face the challenges in life and prove as a Victor and thereby we can be an Honorable Person. If Students find pressures that are so strong that submerges them into it then they must find way and means like Entertainment, Travelling, Chatting & roaming with friends and relatives, listening to music etc. In the end we must always bear in mind that “Failures are the stepping stones for Success” and “Life is not a bed full of Roses but are filled with thorns and we must take a stand or be a victor on those thorns and make our life a bed full of Roses”.
- Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?
Yes, I think Industrial visits should be increased for the BMS students as it helps to gain the knowledge about the working of the company and specific Subjects, and it altogether imparts different Experiences. I have Visited Bharat Gears -Mumbra & JNPT
- What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?
Try to attend all the lectures in your college, Gear up for the exams, take Internals seriously then one can easily pass BMS.
