We all have heard and seen product growth and development and companies growing and their developing stage. We too as individuals have to come to terms where we have our personal growth and person development stage. Personal growth and development is all about leaving your old self and bringing about a change in your life and being a new self. You cannot remain the same from your childhood till you go old. You need change in your life. Personality should have some development that is to be done. You cannot remain the same your full life and therefore personal growth and development is needed.

We all have plans for ourselves and our personal growth. It will only make us more and better in life and will help us live better. Life is all about experiments. We need to have a SWOT analysis that needs to be done just like hoe companies do to help them aim higher and progress more further. SWOT stands for S= strength W=weakness O=opportunities T=threats. We all should understand our strengths weakness opportunities and all our threats. This will help us better in knowing what to do and how to do to make ourselves better individuals.

You are made up 4 things spirit body mind and soul. The body mind soul and spirit are the 4 most important elements that can bring about the change. BMMS (body mind soul and spirit) are the elements of personal growth. Your body mind and soul both need growth and development. There is a connection between personal growth and personal development. Personal growth and personal development can be divided into 5 elements

  1. Spiritual development –

Personal development first starts with being spiritually stable. Being Spiritual gives you inner peace. When your physical and mental state of being seems disturbed you need to make changes in your life and bring in spiritual growth. You must indulge yourself into spiritual activities not a lot but a little bit is needed as it will only make you a better person. As you grow up you get older and your body cannot handle stress thus in order to handle the tension and problems you need to start getting a little spiritual. Indulging into retreats, pilgrims and going to holy places gives you a lot of inner peace and makes you quiet and stable.

  1. Emotional development –

Emotionally one has to be strong you cannot fall prey to emotions. Although we go to a lot of emotions of love, happiness, joy depression, all these emotions take control of ourselves and we fall into trouble. We will feel all these feelings as we are human beings and not machines. Being emotionally strong is very important. People who aren’t emotionally strong are considered weak and fragile. They get hurt easily and we live in a harsh world which is so selfish that it will only take back from you and not give you when you are in need of help. Thus this shouldn’t make you weak try to be practical at times. Emotionally weak is something we don’t want to be. We need to control our emotions else when emotions take control we become slaves of them and end up being hurt.

  1. Mental development –

Mental development is as important as emotional and spiritual development. We in today’s world fall weak and become mentally sick. So much of tension and trauma exist in today’s world. You cannot stay healthy with so much of stress around you. Also sitting at home and sulking makes you more mentally sick. You must keep yourself busy by doing something or the other. At the same time over burdening yourself too is bad. One should know how to keep a balance between work and health.

  1. Social development –

Social development is all about making friends going out and just being yourself. Most of the times we all are tired just sitting and doing work. We get no time to catch up with our old friends. This makes it difficult to connect and stay in touch. We end up living the same old boring monotonous life. Meeting people and connecting with them is something that helps you grow as individuals. Also being socially active on Facebook helps you connect and maintain contacts. You must always keep doing something either going out on vacations, or catching up with your old friends at the spa. All this enhances your personal development and indeed gets you out of boredom.

  1. Physical development –

The fifth and the most important development is physical development. We all love food we all love eating but too much of food is always bad. We shouldn’t always find pleasure in food and eating. We must exercise as well. It does help a lot. Exercise helps you become physically fit and strong. You don’t always need to keep running around the treadmill, but simple exercise helps in keeping your self physically fit. We live in a world full of health conscious people. Health should be of a concern because if you are overweight and heavy sometimes your heart cannot handle the stress your body gets and you may end up falling sick. Regular check-ups and regular decent eating habit will make you.

These are the few personal developments that leads to growth of oneself and also helps us progress. Change is needed in life. Change is the only thing that is constant.  There are few more developments that can be done like career development and changes in relationships etc. apart from the above 5 developments.  After making all these changes and growing spiritually mentally physically socially and emotionally you will know how to maintain a balance between all the personal developments and the changes you made. You will find your life better and satisfactory. You don’t need to make changes everything and in everything but changes in certain aspects must be needed. It is really helpful for oneself to grow and bring about a change.
