Tell us more about yourself.

Myself Snehal Dilip Vare student of SK Somaiya College. I am from a very supportive family “Vare”. My family consists of my grandparents, parents, uncle, aunty, cousin, younger brother and myself. My hobbies are dancing, calligraphy writing, collecting abbreviation and to explore more information. I am passionate to open up a factory.

 
Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?

I was not excepting to be top, I was thinking of 2nd or 3rd as i stood 2nd in previous semester. I would credit this success to my parents, brother and grandpa who taught me to be focused. My college teachers, BMS co-ordinator Mrs. Aparna Jain, my classes MT Educare Thane and all my helpful and supportive friends.

 
Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?

Yes, I did prepared from day one.

 
How did you allot time to different subjects? 

I prepared self-made timetable. I studied for 3 to 4 hrs.with relaxing time too.

 
Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?
  • Follow points format with Intro.,main and conclusion .And for theory just understand it and learn as it will help to write answers for any questions,don`t just by-heart.
  • For practical subjects, practice different types of sums daily .
  • Easy subject is IAPM ,IMTP,OR.
  • For case studies think as if you are in that situation and how would you react to it, is the answer.
  • Entrepreneur Subject think yourself as entrepreneur and give the answers.
  • IF & OR practice more problems and IF theory.
  • IMTP just read and understand it.
  • IAPM imagine yourself as an investment analysor.
  • IM as marketing of any product internationally.
 
Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?

Yes,I think coaching classes are required for 5 & 6 Sem as it builds confidence, guidance and systematic pattern study and self study is enough till Sem 4.
I joined MT Educare,Thane for FM,SSF (Sem V) and OR,IF (Sem VI).

 
Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities?

Yes,I have participated in college fest “UTKARSH” in security dept. and we were runner-up team for Box cricket.
BMS students are capable for managing both.

 
Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?

No,I did not pursued any additional courses/internships.

 
Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?

I would say that its not the end, try for the best as life gives many chances and should enjoy life and
“Think higher with great desire to achieve it.”
Doing your favorite thing is best stress mgmt. technique as I preferred watching TV for relaxation.

 
Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?

Yes,It increases practical knowledge about Industries.And it also increases group-friend co-ordination with enjoyment.
We visited Plastic and Rubber Industry,Pune and Ceramics Industry,Jaipur.

 
Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock? What changes would you like to bring in the BMS Curriculum?

Yes , more time slots must be allotted, there must be gaps.
 More practical knowledge(field study) should be added to BMS Curriculum.

 
What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?

Study first with little masti and be focused with your aim (specially percentage).

 
What are the future plans post BMS?

I am planning to pursue MBA and open up a factory.
