3) Work to obtain the respect and trust of the press rather than complain about inaccurate reporting
4) Take initiative to freely communicate, reply to criticism, and tell the organization’s story
5) Don’t oversimplify complex and complicated issues
6) Take the time to better educate the public
7) Tell bad news stories fast, candidly and completely
8) Speak up publicly without giving excuses
9) Avoid unclear answers to questions
10) If you do not know any answer, the best way to say is “I don’t know”.
11) Don’t talk to press if it could cause serious harm to innocent parties
12) “No Comment” reply is better and acceptable.
