Technical Assistance: There are various arrangements for providing technical advise & assistance to small firms. There are two types of technical assistance to small units. First, the Central Small-scale Industries Organization (CSSIO) through its service institutes & Extension centers provides a staff of entrepreneurs to face the technical problems. A second type of technical assistance is given by the facility workshop. A Technology Development Centre (TDC) would be set up in the Small Industries Development Organization (SIDO) which would provide technological inputs to improve productivity & competitiveness of the products of the small scale sector.
