The young Indian cricket team is on tour of England playing whopping 5 test match series and 5 ODI with a T20 remaining in the tour. The build up to the series was great and India really started well with a 1-0 lead going into the third match of the test series. But England recover and they came back strong beating India badly and winning the 5 match test series 3-1 and showed that who are the kings of test cricket.
India has always been poor in sports overall compared to other countries and Cricket was something where India has done a bit better and is the most recognized sport in the country. These types of series are a way to prove the world that you are not only the best in your home ground but also can win at the opponent’s home. There are news coming that BCCI are going to ban wives and girl friends of players in any other tours as the players seem to take this test series as a trip to England and spent time with their family rather than practice some cricket. It is all in all disgrace and a big embarrassment that these young overrated, overpaid cricketers should understand and do their job to represent the country and fans of India.
It is now time to step up for Indian cricket team, as they are young they should be given proper guidance from experienced staff and players and build their confidence by showing them what it is to represent India in a cricket match. Even newly appointed team director Ravi Shastri said that it was inexperience that was the reason for such a poor performance by India in England.
For India it is now important to concentrate in the 5 ODI and a T20 as they are defeated in the real test, now they should just make sure they win this ODI series which is starting from 25th of August and the only T20 which will be played on 7th of Sept as the last match of this India tour of England, and show that they are not just a bunch of overrated player but actually care and want to play some good cricket for the country.
