Â
- Tell us about yourself.
I am a student who believes in “Doctrine of Karma” that means doing hard work without expecting the results. If you keep doing the hard work, then surely results will follow & you will succeed at the end.
Â
- Were you expecting to top in the exams? To whom would you credit this success to?
While I never thought on those lines (about the rank) I was quite sure of getting good marks as my exams went off well.  Though I was a bit anxious as it was the first MU exam for me, I attribute my success to the guidance provided by all my teachers & support given by my family members & friends.
Â
- Did you prepare religiously from day One or A few weeks before the exams?
I had not started the preparations from the day one but I practiced for the practical subjects like FM & SSF regularly as they require more attention. For theory subjects I started later approximately couple of weeks in advance.
Â
- How did you allot time to different subjects?
I had my own time table. As stated above, I devoted more time to practical subjects since the beginning of the semester. Further, I was very regular to college & attended all the lectures conducted during the semester.
- Can you share some insights on how to crack the subjects before exams?
Based on my personal experience, I would advise all students to attend their college lectures regularly. It helps a lot. Further, the study should be done all round the year & should not be concentrated for the year end.  No subject is easy or tough; it depends on the individual & their efforts.
- Do you think BMS student require coaching classes or is self-study enough? Had you joined any coaching class for a particular subject?
Yes I had joined classes for 2 of subjects which were not my strengths & I believed more effort was required in those subjects.
.
- Did you participate in college fests or extra-curricular activities? Do you think a BMS student can manage both studies and extra activities?
Yes, Infact everyone should participate in such activities for all round development.
- Did you pursue any additional courses/ internships alongside BMS?
Yes, I was/ am also preparing for CMAT entrance exam.
- Today, we often come across students committing suicide out of failure, depression or tension of exams. What do you have to say about this? Did you use any special techniques for stress management?
I believe such incidents should not happen at all. Such situations would never come if the students prioritize their goals, do time management, realize their abilities / weaknesses & plan accordingly. Due support from Friends & family would never allow such extreme stress situations.
- Do you think the number of Industrial visits should be increased for BMS Students? Which industries have you visited?
There should be at least one industrial visit in a year. I was not able to participate in long industrial visit but I have visited one day IV to Bombay Stock Exchange. During my project, I have visited couple of industries/offices.
- Do you think BMS students are flooded with assignments, projects and internal exams round the clock?
No, I don’t think so. Instead it helps a lot to prepare for the exams.
- What message would you like to give to the next batch of BMS students?
I would like to wish them all the very best for the exams and there is nothing to worry if you are studying regularly. Do attend all the lectures, tests and exams conducted by the college as it helps to know our strengths and weaknesses.
- What are the future plans post BMS?
I am preparing for CMAT 2013 and want to pursue MBA post BMS.
