We conceptualized Youthapreneurs for the sole reason to encourage the spirit of Entrepreneurship at a very young age. I think a young age combined with right tools and skills can build very successful and innovative business ventures. Youth provides three things that Entrepreneurship needs most -> Persistence, Persistence, Persistence 🙂
Unfortunately, in India, for young entrepreneurs, one of the biggest battles that needs to be fought is that with the immediate family and friends; more often this support network itself creates resistance against an entrepreneur who wants to build a company from scratch. This is because the move is often viewed as a ‘risky’ or ‘reckless’ career direction rather than a likely success story. This view needs to change. In this age of technology and in this newly evolved global economy, the dynamics of doing business has changed drastically. Youthapreneurs is a platform that will train, mentor and equip the new generation of entrepreneurs with skill-sets that are more relevant, current and hands-on (not theoretical) – right from business planning, digital marketing techniques to funding your business and more.
Small businesses in India have a much smaller contribution to the GDP (only 10%) in comparison to other developed countries such as the US (more than 50%). Why so? Aren’t some of the world’s most renowned business tycoons known to have their origins in India? I believe there is a large segment of smart, new age entrepreneurs who don’t have the tools necessary and the encouragement required to build a business – big or small. That’s where Youthapreneurs comes in. We believe in experimentation before experience. After all how do you gain experience unless you have experimented with an idea? Our platform will feature talks, workshops and training courses by well-renowned speakers and often successful Youthapreneurs themselves. We have successfully undertaken them at various institutions and are happy to announce our first independent workshop this Saturday i.e. 15th December where we have also invited a successful Youthapreneur as a guest speaker.
